Aaghun is a homestay and responsible tourism venture located near Kaziranga National Park, Assam, offering accommodation, home-cooked meals and curated local experiences.

3. Check-in / Check-out (Homestay)

- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Aaghun.
- A booking is considered confirmed only after receipt of the applicable advance payment (see Section 4) and written confirmation from Aaghun (via email, WhatsApp, or phone).
- Guests must provide accurate personal details (name, contact number, valid ID proof) at the time of booking and check-in, in line with applicable guest registration requirements under Indian law.

- Standard check-in time: 02:00 PM

- Standard check-out time: 11:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
- A valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory for all guests at check-in.

- Rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes as stated at the time of booking.
- A minimum of 50% advance payment is required to confirm a booking, with the balance payable at check-in.

- Guests are expected to respect the property, other guests, staff, and the local community and environment.
- Aaghun operates on principles of sustainable and responsible tourism, including no use of air conditioning and plastic-free practices. We ask guests to be mindful of these values during their stay.
- Aaghun reserves the right to refuse service or ask a guest to leave the property, without refund, in cases of misconduct, damage to property, or behaviour that endangers other guests, staff, or the local community.

- Aaghun takes reasonable care for the safety and comfort of guests but is not liable for loss, theft, injury, or damage to personal belongings during the stay, except where caused by our proven negligence.
- Guests participating in curated experiences (village walks, tea garden visits, treks, cycling, safaris, etc.) do so at their own risk. We recommend guests carry adequate travel/health insurance.
- Aaghun is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, government restrictions, road closures, etc.).

Booking & Cancellation Policy

Booking is confirmed only after payment of the full amount for one night for the number of rooms booked, or 50% of the total amount if booking for more than one night.

- More than 7 Days Before Check-In: Guests must provide notice of cancellation at least 7 days prior to the scheduled check-in date to receive a refund of the booking amount. A 15% cancellation charge on the booking amount is applicable.
- 7 Days to 48 Hours Before Check-In: A cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking amount will apply. Alternatively, the entire amount can be transferred to a future date, subject to availability. Please note that a second cancellation will be non-refundable.
- Within 48 Hours Before Check-In: No refund of the booking amount.

All cancellation requests must be communicated via email to ensure proper documentation. A confirmation of your cancellation will be provided once processed.

Once a cancellation request is confirmed, refunds will be processed within 7 business days through the original payment method used during booking.

To change your booking dates, please contact us directly via email or WhatsApp. Modifications can be done 48 hours prior to check-in of the earlier booked date, subject to availability, and additional charges may apply based on the new booking terms.

Guests who do not show up for their reservation without prior cancellation will forfeit the entire booking amount.

In rare circumstances, Aaghun may need to cancel a confirmed booking. In such cases:
- We will notify you as soon as possible.
- You will receive a full refund of any amount paid, or the option to reschedule your stay at no additional cost.

Aaghun is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, road closures, park closures, government restrictions, or public health emergencies. Cancellation terms for curated experiences, tour packages, safaris, or add-on activities booked through Aaghun may differ based on third-party operator policies (e.g., safari permits, which are often non-refundable once booked).
