Kaziranga beyond National Park

Explore Kaziranga Year-Round

Kaziranga is far more than its world-famous national park. It is a remarkable landscape that extends across the lush forests of the Karbi Anglong Hills, tea gardens, rivers, wetlands, villages, and vibrant indigenous cultures. Together, they create one of India's most diverse and beautiful travel destinations.

While the national park welcomes visitors from October to April, the surrounding landscape comes alive throughout the year. From April to October, the monsoon transforms Kaziranga into a lush green paradise, with blooming wildflowers, flowing rivers, misty hills, village life, and countless opportunities to experience nature beyond wildlife safaris.

Kaziranga beyond National Park is a sustainability initiative of the Aaghun Foundation that promotes year-round tourism, encourages longer and slower stays, and showcases the wider Kaziranga–Karbi Anglong landscape. By dispersing tourism beyond the park, we aim to reduce pressure on the protected area while creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for local communities and supporting responsible, sustainable travel.
